Magnus 'the Timid', son of Ander:

Magnus is a mercenary travelling wherever the pay is good. As a professional warrior he is well practiced with a variety of weapons, but mainly fights with Sword and Shield or Dane Axe. Usually Magnus will fight with the Dane axe with a shield strapped to his back should he need to switch to a sword.

History:

Magnus was born the son of Ander, a minor noble with some lands in a part of scandinavia now known as Sweden. Magnus is the third and youngest son, though he had two younger sisters. When Magnus was six his mother died during childbirth. At the age of nine his two sisters (twins aged 6) succumbed to illness and died. When he came of age (12 years of age) his father gave him a sword as was his right.

Two years after his coming of age, a dispute broke out between Ander and a neighbour over the ownership of some of his land. The arguement turned to violence and Ander and his two eldest sons were killed.
Magnus chose to flee with his only real possession, his sword.

Magnus then joined a raiding party 'The Wolves of Andred', who went 'A viking' in the lands of the Anglo-Saxons. He swore he would raid and fight as a mercenary as long as it took to raise enough funds to hire warriors to take back his father's land and have revenge on his father's murderer.

The fighting was good and much silver was gained in the land of the Anglo-Saxons, and eventually the Wolf pack (The Wolves of Andred) decided to go their separate ways. With some returning to their homes, Magnus and Thorvald joined another band 'Haukur', which he fights in to this day!
